It’s always an honor when our most talented wedding vendor friends ask us to be play a part in their wedding day. So, to say the least, we were over the moon when Stephi (@byStephanieVelez) brought us on to help her plan her dream boho wedding. Her kind heart, creativity and incredible eye for detail are just a few of the reasons she is one of our favorite photographers and friends in the industry! But beyond that, her ability to capture authentically beautiful moments every time she gets behind the camera is what truly sets her work apart.
When Stephi came to us and told us about Pablo, it was no surprise to us that these two fell in love making their story that out of a fairy tale. It is no surprise that this sweet soul, fell in love with Pablo - his kind eyes, dark hair, and dashing smile are like that of a storybook prince. After meeting in his home country of Cuba the couple continued their romance long distance until they were able to be reunited just weeks before their beautiful boho wedding day.
Atencio to Boho Wedding Details
Carrying on in fairy tale like fashion, Stephi’s vision for their boho wedding day was nothing short of magical and unique. Every detail from the wedding floral arrangements, to wedding stationary, outfit changes, entertainment surprises, table settings to Stephi’s stunning headpiece tied together perfectly. The design revolved natural textures and earthy terracotta tones, playing off of the shapes and colors of the historic Howey Mansion where they got married. Her custom built arbor for the wedding ceremony, mirrored the arched doorways throughout the venue, while the color pallet from the wedding florals to the wedding party’s attire tied in perfectly with the rich, historic backdrop of the building.
Made with Love
To make this wedding even more thoughtful and special, almost all of the stunning aesthetics you will see in the photos were created out of love from close family members and friends for the couple’s wedding day. The frame for the show-stopping sweetheart table backdrop was hand built by loved ones, along with the custom signs, stationary, and tapestries designed and created by the bride’s cousin, Lauren (@tortoise.designs), that were woven into the decor throughout.
Next Level Boho Wedding Florals
The floral design for this wedding was by Jelli (@PeplumEvents), a super stylish and beyond talented wedding florist! Jelli took on the Atencio wedding as her last before hanging up her floral sheers. Boy were we lucky to have worked with her before it was too late! She left with a bang - every piece from Stephi’s enormous and ethereal bridal bouquet to the jaw dropping sweetheart table backdrop (which she somehow pulled together in under 2 hours) was nothing short of editorial and unlike anything we have ever seen before.
Stephi and Pablo’s wedding officially took our obsession with modern bohemian design to new heights and standards. This wedding day will inspire us for many, many weddings to come. We are beyond thankful for the opportunity to have worked with Stephi and Pablo on their dreamy wedding day.
